Jaime, the intellectual tyrant, doesn't like us watching it because it's not educational enough. And I let Tess know that, so now we watch the show in secret. I'm pretty sure she learned the phrase, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" from the cartoon.

Lame, this is the third time I tried to leave a comment (stupid phone).
Phineas and Ferb are geniuses, watching and imitating them requires learning complex subject areas. Imitation suggest learning has occurred and that is educational.
Are Dora and Diego supposedly educational? I'm sorry but if teaching a few random words were the basis for learning Spanish, I could teach Spanish 101 without any training. They definitely won't be building a space shuttle in the backyard, maybe Handy-Manny will show them how to build a hand cart. The wonder pets certainly aren't going to expect that from Manny though through their "teamwork" a craft magically assembles itself. I suppose that is a hidden lesson in social loafing. If that's the case though how do they address group think?
I will say, my only disappointment is that while mentally creating the plans for high-efficiency vehicle based on a new and limitless fuel, that enables nearly instantaneous global transportation to the stadium or arena of one's choosing, she visualized that kiddy cart. I mean, with a few minor adjustments that black Impala there could look like the bat-mobile.
